Persian Azerbaijan wedding photography that captured a lovely ceremony and reception for Aynura and Reza in Carlsbad, California. The couple’s wedding photography began with some final getting ready photos at Aynura’s home in Carlsbad where she prepared for the coming day. After about an hour afterwards the photography moved outside the home to capture Reza’s arrival as he and his family walked down the straight to the sounds of live, traditional Azerbaijan music being played. This marked the beginning of the Azerbaijan wedding ceremony.
As Reza entered the home he was greeted by some of Aynura’s family, with his family and the musicians close behind. Aynura and her family were waiting inside for him so they could start the Azerbaijan wedding ceremony. I refer to my entire day of photography for the couple as Persian Azerbaijan wedding photography because later in the day there would also be a Persian wedding ceremony, which we’ll get to in a moment.
The Azerbaijan wedding ceremony featured some lovely customs. In addition to he music there was a mirror for the couple to see themselves, the tying of a red ribbon around the bride, tying of money onto the bride’s henna hands, the family talking to the bride and groom, a ceremonial dance around a red rug with a lighted lantern on it, and of course a lot of congratulations.
Following the Azerbaijan wedding ceremony in the home the couple were guided outdoors to be taken to Carlsbad Seapointe Resort for the Persian ceremony, driven in a classic 1951 Mercedes Benz. At the resort much more of their Persian Azerbejdżan wedding photography would take place, as well as a side trip to the beach for more wedding photos.
All during the day and evening Aynura and Reza were also having their wedding day captured through fantastic, professional wedding videography work by Sia and Josee of Jossia Visual Productions. The three of us have worked on many weddings and events together, which I especially like because we coordinate so well together. Our working style is also of great benefit to our clients because we combine our creativity to thoroughly capture wedding day memories and to create excellent products for them, too.
It was at The Carlsbad Seapointe Resort where the couple would have their Persian wedding ceremony. The venue was beautifully decorated and planned by Gitti of Up Stage Design and Rental. The head table where Aynura and Reza would be sitting during the ceremony was especially nice, and adorned with important and customary foods and decor.
Following the ceremony, the next part of the couple’s Persian and Azerbaijan wedding photography would be at Tamarack State Beach in Carlsbad. Here Sia captured videography while I created still shots of Aynura and Reza. This moment gave the couple some lovely beach wedding photos, which was a nice compliment and to an already diverse collection of wedding photos.
Back at The Carlsbad Seapointe Resort it was time for the party for the couple’s wedding reception to begin. The live music really added to the excitement and helped encourage everyone to dance for hours. There was also a fantastic catered meal, toasts, and continuous celebration by everyone.
