U.S. Navy Retirement Ceremony Photography
Thank You to Hospital Corpsman Senior Chief Lewis for her 26 years of service and Congratulations on your retirement ceremony. It was an honor to provide Mrs. Lewis’ US Navy retirement ceremony photography at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Camp Pendleton, “The West Coast’s Premier Fleet Marine Force Training Base’, located on the Pacific Coast in Southern California, beside the city of Oceanside in San Diego County.
This event photography captured every aspect of the 2-hour ceremony. Steeped in traditions of the United States Navy, Mrs. Lewis’ ceremony, like others I have photographed, was filled with and important sequence of events. To capture each moment I used two cameras and a variety of lenses.
Ceremony Traditions Photographed
Examples of the moments shot as part of retirement ceremony photography include: Arrival of Official Party, Parading of Colors, Invocation, Presiding Officer’s Remarks, Guest Speakers’ Remarks, Presentation of Awards, Flag Folding, “Old Glory”, Retiree Remarks, Presentation of Gifts, Chief Petty Officer’s Retirement Creed, “The Watch”, Benediction, Piping Ashore.
The Event Photography
The retirement ceremony photography generated several hundred keepsake photos that were made available for unlimited download within a few days of the event. In addition, the photography included print rights to all of the photos, as well as an option to purchase professional prints for framing, already mounted and ready-to-hang. And with so many wonderful photos, bonus purchase options also include a custom commemorative album made up of the most favorite photos; designed in-house and printed in Italy.
