A California ranch wedding in Valley Center, in San Diego County, with a backdrop of views of hills and valleys, boulders amidst all sorts of native and planted vegetation, and tables of well-thought out wedding decor. The newlyweds Andrea and Gerd no doubt had a spectacular wedding day, and judging by their expressions that were captured in their wedding photography I know this to be true.
The couple’s ranch wedding photography began after I was given a quick tour of the grounds, and this gave me some ideas for staging the first looking photos, as well as formals and family portraits which we captured before the wedding. But leading up to this, I the ranch wedding photography started with shots of Andrea’s wedding dress, the couple’s rings, the bride with her bridesmaids, and of Gerd’s final getting ready.
Next it was time for the first look wedding photos, where I would also take photos of Gerd overlooking the valleys below, while Andrea was finishing up getting ready and making her down to first floor of the ranch house. With Gerd facing away from the direction Andrea would approach, the coast was clear for her to come outside nearer to her waiting groom. With Gerd still facing away from Andrea, I had a few moments to capture great anticipation of the groom seeing his bride for the first time. And the it was time for him to turn around to see Andrea, while I photographed the couples special moment in the California ranch wedding.
Following the the first look we chose several other lovely spots for formal photos with the wedding party, family, and of just the couple. During this time many candid photos were also shot while family and friends were milling about waiting for the official start of the ranch wedding ceremony. The ceremony would take place down a wide, tree-lined pathway which lead to a open space area that also overlooked the valley to the east. Here about 100 guests were seated, and behind them were the tables that were beautifully decorated for the reception that would follow.
Andrea and Gerd’s ranch wedding ceremony included their four bridesmaids and four groomsmen, as well as a young flower girl and ring bearer. I liked how both children had their own little seats near the bride and groom, which kept them ‘in the picture’ while helping be comfortable and patient. I also liked how the rolling out of a white runner helped announce the bride’s entrance to the now-waiting groom, wedding party and guests. The couple’s ceremony featured readings and songs from family friends, and music provided by a very well played keyboard by Andrea’s brother-in-law.
Following the ranch wedding ceremony, the couple passed through a receiving line with guests on either either side of them blowing bubbles. They were received scores of congratulations, of course, and with a prayer by one of her Grandfathers the reception officially commenced. The meal for the reception was spectacular, and cooked onsite by their artful chef. Not one, two, three, but four main courses were served to the wedding guests! I’m certain this just topped the evening for everyone. But yet night was still young by the time I wrapped up this California ranch wedding photography. Tables of games and activities awaited the the guests, a wonderful way to stretch out this splendid for Andrea and Gerd.
The couple’s wedding photography package featured unlimited wedding photography using two cameras and multiple lenses, which helped with creating a variety of angles and perspectives. All of their photos were edited to ensure best quality, then uploaded to a private wedding gallery to view share with guests, and where they and their guests can order professional prints with an early bird special of 25% off normal prices. The package also includes a set of professional prints, and a larger printed that’s turned into a Standout Print wall art which is ready to hang. The package is completed with a DVD of all of their images in higher resolution.
