Jache and Thomas, together with their friends Bridget and Francis, and myself, enjoyed a lovely San Diego courthouse wedding at the County Administration Center, adjacent to the beautiful bay, palms and ships of this fine Southern California city. The Summer weather was especially hot, so instead of having their ceremony outdoors under the wedding arbor, the couple elected to have the San Diego courthouse wedding indoors.
The couple’s wedding photography began with photos of them signing their marriage license, and then some shots inside the historic building, which has served residents since being dedicated in 1938 by President Roosevelt. Marble floors made for nice reflections of Jache and Thomas, as I posed them for backlighting from large windows that looked out over San Diego Bay.
After photographing the couple’s lovely San Diego Courthouse wedding ceremony, we then made the short drive over to Coronado Island so that we could create some beach wedding photos, too. This was a destination wedding for Jache and Thomas, and the beach is something that nearly every San Diego destination wedding photographer wants to be able to capture for their couples. With the brightly lit beach sand and reflection of the sun on the Pacific Ocean, a nice collection of higher key beach wedding photos were made of the couple walking along the beach, and along the rocks near the Hotel del Coronado.
