The pre-wedding photo shoot can be formal or casual but it’s always fun! Sometimes the photo shoot can be months before the wedding and geared towards an engagement photography session, or it can be a session on the day of the wedding that’s dedicated to creative and formal wedding photography. It was the latter that Sasha and Chase’s pre-wedding photo shoot was all about, as well as having some fun in the hours before their ceremony.
Completely ready for their wedding, bride Sasha looked beautiful in her wedding dress and updo hair style. And groom Chase looked handsome wearing his grey three piece suit with Tiffany blue tie. The couple had planned their pre-wedding photos shoot to take place in Balboa Park, near downtown San Diego, California. Balboa Park is the nation’s largest urban cultural park, and a very popular place for portrait, engagement, and wedding photography because of the lovely landscaping, architecture, and cultural exhibits.
Speaking of landscaping, it was the award-winning Rose Garden where the couple and I met to start their pre-wedding photo shoot. We photographed alongside some 1600 roses, but we also used the nice architecture of the building there for shots, too. After photographing on the lawn and near the interesting plants, we next made our way over to the carousel near the San Diego Zoo. Built in 1910, the Balboa Park Carousel made for another fun backdrop for Sasha and Chase while it was stationary and while the carousel sped around with the couple aboard!
Our pre-wedding photo shoot next took us past the zoo to Spanish Village, which is a lovely, colorful area of artists studios. Afterwards we made our way over to an area near the Museum of Man and the Laurel Street bridge. Across from the museum we used a nice doorway with steps for a series of photos. And concluded with another series of photos in an archway that opened to large eucalyptus tree.
With their customized pre-wedding photography package the couple received an unlimited number of shots using two camera and multiple lenses, all edited images, a secure online gallery of those edited images to view and share with family and friends, unlimited download of all their images, a set of professional prints, and a Standout Print wall art that’s ready to hang.
All of their lovely pre-wedding photos, either alone or combined with their complete collection of wedding day photos, would surely make for a fantastic wedding album. Starting with a range of album covers choices though the personalized photo story, the couple’s wedding day will always be at hand to look at and touch in a beautiful Italian-made book.
