Evans Equipment Wash Pad Commercial Photography Shoot Near San Diego

Evans Equipment and Environmental specializes in industrial water treatment equipment. The company recently required photo-documentation and publication quality commercial photography to highlight and promote their custom heavy equipment wash pad to use in their website and marketing material. To create those photos, the company commissioned Andrew Abouna Photography for a photo shoot of a new wash pad installation at H&E Equipment Services in El Cajon, San Diego County. H&E Equipment Services is one of the biggest integrated equipment dealerships in the United States. The gallery shown here provides a few sample shots that we captured on that shoot for Evans.

As a San Diego photographer, we’ve seen many opportunities and locations for commercial photography in the Southern California, whether onsite at a client facility, or at a unique setting that can be used to highlight or even contrast with a client’s product or services. But regardless of location, the most important elements in commercial photography are showcasing the product or service being photographed.

Along with setting, we find that lighting and camera perspective are also very important. Evenly lit studio lighting or contrasting off-center or backlighting are a couple of examples that can be used in commercial photography. These lighting techniques are ones that we use for photography in San Diego and other cities. For the Evans Equipment Wash Pad Commercial Photography shoot we elected for the most even lighting possible, in order to give the best overall view of the equipment.

Camera perspective and settings, as well as choice of lenses, are also very important to acquiring more than just good shots, but also ones that are different and even unique to the commercial product or service being photographed. In this shoot for Evans, you’ll see that we used three different lenses, including one that provided a normal view, a moderate fish eye, and a telephoto lens.

Perhaps one of the most important aspects of commercial photography is post-shoot editing. In fact, editing can be as important as the photo shoot itself, and it’s often where a photographer’s style and quality of work can really be seen. As you’ll see in this commercial shoot for Evans, the photos have a certain look. The colors, cropping, composition, and overall look and feel have a style that has been developed largely during the photo editing process. Proper editing in all of our photography projects in San Diego is a required step in order to be able to deliver quality photographic products to our clients.
