Jelina and Sam’s wedding was beautifully elegant, fun, and a truly happy occasion at the lovely Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, CA.. The couple are the best of friends and very much in love with each other. What really underscored their friendship were was the sincerity of all those who came to celebrate their wedding. Photographing the couple’s wedding was a joy.
Featured in this San Diego wedding photography article is a collection of some of my photographer favorite photos from their Twin Oaks Golf Course wedding. The photos are a mix of different shots, some posed and some candid, from their wedding day. You’ll see getting ready photos for both the bride and the groom, wedding ceremony photos, fun and posed photos before and after the ceremony, and wedding reception photos, too. As always, I capture a variety of wedding still life shots as well, like of the bride’s wedding dress, reception venue, various decor pieces, and of course photos of the wedding cake.
Getting back to the personal aspect of Jelina and Sam’s wedding, what speaks volumes about the couple’s friendship and love is that all of their friends are also their best friends. And they have a lot of friends, each being important to one another. In wedding terms, this meant for a large and fantastic-looking wedding party, and this helped make for some great wedding photography, during the getting ready stages, ceremony, and with all formal photos and at the reception.
Creating the couple’s Twin Oaks Golf Course wedding pictures began with capturing shots of Jelina and her bridesmaids as they finished getting ready. To give you a few notes of my observations, and there we countless elements that I could talk about, let me pick one for the moment. Jelina’s wedding dress, by Aria Bridal and Formal, was of course an important item in wedding photography. Her dress was a gorgeous white cream color, with black accenting flowers stitched throughout. Bold and beautiful. And take a look at how cleverly Jelina selected Dr Marten boots in place of more traditional wedding shoes.
