KGSP held their Winter Engagement Event at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, where we provided four full days of event photography of their conference. The KAUST Gifted Student Program (KGSP) is a fully-funded scholarship for undergraduate students from Saudi Arabia studying science and engineering abroad. KGSP is administered by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines conference for KGSP was attended to by approximately 450 students over the complete five-day event. In addition to providing four days of general event photography of from morning through evening, we also captured over a hundred headshots for many of the students as well. The event photography of this San Diego event included a digital online gallery of all of the KGSP’s Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines conference images, unlimited download of those images, and a disk of those image in higher resolution. The images have all been cataloged by shoot day for easier access and use by KGSP.
Each year, KAUST awards this competitive scholarship to approximately 135 Saudi students upon completion of high school, for up to six years. KGSP students join an elite group of Saudi peers at top-tier universities in the United States to pursue their studies. They receive guidance from a team of scholarship advisors, and participate in regular enrichment activities such as workshops, conferences, and extracurricular courses, while enjoying unique cultural events and experiences. KGSP empowers the next generation of Saudi scientists, researchers, and educators to reach their potential, and provides them with the opportunities and education to succeed.
