The NSO division of Microsoft Corporation recently held a multi-day event at The Westin San Diego. For their all-hands meeting at the Westin, the Microsoft NSO division needed a group photo to capture all attendees, candid photos of networking, and several headshot photos as well. I was onsite for Microsoft to provide San Diego event photography to capture these moments for the organization, which also required promptly preparing or 72 prints of their preferred group photo.
After reviewing locations within The Westin, we decided upon a second level shooting position to photograph the event attendees on the level below. I liked this vantage point for two reasons. The first was that no faces of the 72 attendees would be hidden behind one another. And the second reason this made for a nice vantage point for their group photo is that I could capture some of the nice, colorful architecture of The Westin and the lovely Emerald Plaza in which we were located.
A very important element of this San Diego event photography shoot was to promptly prepare 5×7″ professional prints of Microsoft NSO’s preferred group photo. I made one print for each of the 72 attendees, inserted each print into a display easel folder, and delivered the set of prints in just over a day following the shoot.
Final photography products also included an online gallery to view and share of all images from their San Diego event photography shoot, unlimited downloads of all the images in the online gallery, and a DVD of all images in higher resolution with print rights and a standard slideshow.
