Prudential Retirement Client Conference – La Costa Spa Photos
Prudential Financial Inc. is a Fortune 500 Global company whose subsidiaries provide insurance, investment, management and a range of other financial products throughout the US and over 30 countries. It’s been a pleasure photographing for them on several occasions, as seen my post of the Prudential International Insurance Company Photography, and this photography post, ‘Prudential Retirement Client Conference – La Costa Spa Photos’.
The Prudential Retirement Conference photography focused on their multi-day event at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA.. The conference photography included candid and posed shots of the conference guests arriving, event registration, participants networking, the use of technology for sharing information, company branding, awards ceremony, event venue, luncheons, food and service, and the use of transportation for moving guests around.
I would have to say that a highlight of the photography was as a private VIP photography session with Dr. Condoleezza Rice, former Secretary of State. For this shoot, I set up a studio backdrop and lighting in a large suite at the La Costa Resort, and arranged the room to facilitate an orderly way to allow VIP guests to post with Dr. Rice. Just prior to photographing guests with Dr. Rice, I joined two of Prudential’s media staff and Dr. Rice for a private interview in a separate room.
Among the 40 or so VIP guests whom I photographed with Dr. Rice were top executives of Prudential, including company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr. John Strangfeld. Mr. Strangfeld had remembered me from the Prudential International Insurance Company Photography, and he was kind enough to talk with me for a few minutes.
It was very delightful to provide the posed studio photography with Dr. Rice and the VIPs, not just for the shots but also because it was nice to hear and watch the genuine and pleasant conversation between each guest and Dr. Rice. As a special keepsake from this part of the event, I later prepared professional prints in an elegant photo folder of each guest with Dr. Rice and provided these to Prudential Retirement. And a personal keepsake was created when one of Dr. Rice”s staff photographed me with her as well.
The La Costa photos shown here and in the complete gallery of all the photos from the event I think capture some of the terrific venue that it is for conference photography, and it was the perfect location for the Prudential event.
