Rachael and Anthony La Jolla Beach Wedding Photos
The beaches in La Jolla are among the most beautiful in all of San Diego, if not Southern California and even the United States. With gorgeous blue and turquoise water washing ashore on sandy and cliff-rimmed beaches, one would be hard-pressed to find a nicer location for a wedding. And so it’s not difficult to imagine why Rachael and Anthony chose to have a La Jolla beach wedding.
Theirs was also a destination wedding, like many that I photograph. Rachel and Anthony, together with their family and friends, came out from a different state for this beautiful wedding occasion. And the couple could not have picked a nicer day, as you can see in this small collection of some of my favorites of their wedding photos. Rachael and Anthony’s small and lovely wedding was performed and orchestrated beautifully by Reverend Cathy Glenn of Ever After Weddings. Included in the ceremony were Rachel’s two sons, which, along with the sand ceremony that all four participated in, made for a very nice union for the family.
The wedding ceremony even started out with unusual and impressive rainbow-colored clouds. A special invitation message welcoming their wedding? Perhaps. Though as with the many La Jolla beach weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing, a special invitation was not needed for the spectators that stopped to watch. And the impromptu wedding guests stuck around for more than just the ceremony. It seemed they also delighted in watching the wedding photography.
I wasn’t paying too much attention to the onlookers of course, but I’d guess they were watching how the couple posed in in the many different ways I orchestrated for their wedding photos. But as I say to all my wedding couple’s whom I photograph, we are not really posing, we are creating natural-looking wedding photos, and I think that’s a very important aspect of good wedding photography.
