CLS 63 Mercedes Benz Photo Shoot Video

The CLS 63 Mercedes Benz photo shoot that the stage design team and myself created a little while back resulted in a wonderful collection of photos for the press release to a group of international journalists of the then-new luxury sports car. Featured in this post is a dynamic slideshow video which brings the shoot to life using a selection of photos of the stage and car, including some behind-the-scenes shots from the Mercedes Benz photo shoot.

The Mercedes Benz photo shoot took place at the exclusive community of Rancho Santa Fe near San Diego and on a stage designed by Trade Show Specialists. The stage highlighted a CLS 63 as well as a cutaway of the roadster’s 577 horsepower, 5.5L AMB biturbo V-8 engine. In addition to the car and engine, the stage itself was an important part of the photo shoot because of the information that it provided about the car.

The early evening Mercedes Benz photo shoot captured a range of photos of the vehicle, as well as indoors of the Daimler AG hosted dining venue. But for this video the photos that were most important were of course of the car and stage. To maximize the collection of images and to capture views of the car from all directions, I photographed from a verity of different angles and perspectives.

In this video you’ll see shots from atop a 20-foot ladder, from outside the stage looking through the structure of the stage, and from other angles to capture the effects of the state lighting and even shadows from surround palms. Creating a useful and unique collection of car photos was the goal of the Mercedes Benz photo shoot, and making them even more fun to look using this slideshow video was a nice touch to the shoot.
