MetroPCS recently held their 2014 Dealer Event at The W Hotel in downtown San Diego. Photography for The W Hotel events captured local MetroPCS dealers networking with a number of cellular sponsors, MetroPCS leadership, and awards and raffle prizes. Featured photos in this article are some of my photographer favorites from the evening’s event photography.
Event photography began with capturing shots of The W Hotel events venue to provide photos showing the nice event decor, fine food, MetroPCS branding, and sponsors. The W Hotel events venue for MetroPCS took place in the hotel’s Banquet Room, as well as the adjacent outdoor, curbside space where another bar, tables and MetroPCS-branded step-and-repeat banner for posed photography was located. The W Hotel staff really prepared and served some fantastic appetizers for the event’s attendees.
MetroPCS dealers at The W Hotel events visited tables for each of the seven sponsors at the evening’s event. The sponsors included QPay, Kyocera, Alpha Comm Enterprises Inc., Alcatel onetouch, Asurion, and Samsung. To participate in the raffle, dealers had their ticket strip stamped by each sponsor, then deposited their ticket strip into a glass bowl for drawing during the presentation part of the event.
During The W Hotel events for MetroPCS, a great selection and volume of music was provided by DEEJAY AL. He also kept attendees nicely reminded to have their ticket strips stamped and he provided updates on when the main presentation would begin. And for the presentation itself, the sound system was managed by Diana of PSAV, who ensured that mic volumes were just right for the audience. This was my first time working with DEEJAY AL, though I’ve worked many times in the past with PSAV, but both of their sound work was spot on!
For the main part of the evening, MetroPCS management made an important presentation to their San Diego dealers. The photos I captured at this time shows the dealers’ enthusiasm as they were inspired by the motivational and promotional information they heard. Intermixed throughout the presentation were several raffle drawings, where dealers won some fabulous prizes. An awards presentation was also photographed when acrylic plaques were awarded to the top MetroPCS dealers.
